About Us
Welcome to Team 22760 , the HB Tac-Techs! Our team is a dynamic blend of first year robotics students embarking on their journey with FIRST® Tech Challenge, armed with varying degrees of experience in the field. To guide us on this exciting path, we are fortunate to have a group of dedicated mentors. Comprising five high school students with a rich background in FRC and prior involvement in FTC, our mentors play a crucial role in assisting us when challenges arise and imparting valuable knowledge.
Our FIRST® Tech Challenge team is comprised of seventh and eighth-grade students attending Hollis-Brookline Middle School in Hollis, NH. Our team consists of a diverse group of students who are curious and passionate about STEAM and how it can be used to benefit our local community as well as the those around us.
Though our predecessors enjoyed great success last season, this season, Team 22760 - now known as the HB Tac-Techs - is entirely brand new. Our team of rookies has risen to the challenge of learning about everything from building to coding with the help of our amazing mentors and staff advisors.
All of our mentors assist in the student-led design and build process. At the beginning of our season, our team divided itself into subgroups to better structure the development, building, and operation of their robots. The subgroups of students, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Outreach follow the philosophy of Gracious Professionalism. Gracious Professionalism®, a core value of FIRST®, is a way of doing things that encourages high-quality work, emphasizes the value of others, and respects individuals and the community.

Our WorkOur initial weeks were dedicated to collaborative brainstorming sessions, allowing us to explore innovative ideas and determine the subgroups we wished to join. This pivotal phase laid the foundation for our season, establishing clear objectives for the tasks ahead. Each subgroup delved into their responsibilities with unwavering determination, overcoming occasional hurdles along the way. For instance, our building team encountered challenges with the wheels, but their resilience prevailed, successfully resolving the issue.
Throughout this journey, our team has strived to meet the stringent qualifications expected of us. With dedication and hard work, we aim to craft a robot that not only reflects our collective efforts but also exemplifies the standards set forth in the world of FTC robotics. |
